If I could give no stars, I would! Nothing but trouble from the very beginning. Major parts of the order missed off, all glass broken, wrong replacements sent, next replacements were broken (a bag of glass shards arrived), the final replacements were chipped and cracked. Never had such terrible experience from anything! Took weeks to resolve and their response: We don't compensate you for our human error nor that of our suppliers/couriers. A very disappointed family and even more disappointed 3 year old. Please for the sake of your sanity - avoid this company.

We ordered a Twyford Log cabin through Elbec, which was made by Shire. Had I known at the time I could order directly, I would have gone directly to Shire. Elbec, although very pleasant, gave me no confidence in their ability as a 'reputable' company throughout the whole process. However, the Log cabin delivery was excellent- the drivers extremely helpful. We built the cabin ourselves- the instructions leave a lot to be desired and thankfully we are in the building trade, otherwise I think most DIY people would have struggled. Shire sorted out issues with the double glazing which was smeared with a film in between the glazing and have delivered new windows. The door, however came with 20-30 mm twist and didn't close properly, which they did replace, however the new door was worse and we ended up having to plane it top and bottom to fit properly. Once again, if people didn't have the right tools or didn't know what to do, it would have been disastrous or costly. We understand that wood twists in varying temperatures, but on both occasions it arrived twisted and therefore didn't fit. Considering how much the Twyford Log cabin costs, the workmanship is mediocre in quality.
